Privacy policy
How we collect, use, and protect information on resistanceindoor.org.
Resistance Indoor Percussion, Inc. ("Resistance Indoor," "we," "us") is an Oklahoma 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This policy explains what information resistanceindoor.org collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website; the online store at shop.resistanceindoor.org and the member portal at ops.resistanceindoor.org have their own notices.
What we collect
- Contact form. When you use our contact form we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, routed to the relevant department mailbox.
- Audition & staff applications. Registrations and applications are handled by our member portal (ops.resistanceindoor.org); the information you enter there is stored in that system to run auditions and the season.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address (and any tags for what you signed up for) is stored with our email provider, Beehiiv, to send you updates. Sign-up forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse.
- Donations. Donations are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. We never see or store your full card number; we retain the amount, date, and the email and name Stripe returns so we can acknowledge your gift and keep accurate financial records.
- Technical data. Like most sites, our host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How we use it
We use this information to respond to you, run auditions and the season, send the updates you asked for, process and acknowledge donations, keep required financial and tax records, and protect the site from abuse. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that operate the site on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Beehiiv (newsletter), Cloudflare (anti-abuse), Google Workspace (department email), and our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon). Our member portal and finance system are run by the same organization; sharing between them is not a sale of data. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies
We use only functional cookies -- for example, to remember a language preference or to power editor previews. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
Donation and other financial records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Contact-form messages, newsletter subscriptions, and audition or application data are kept for the current season cycle and then deleted on request. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
Children
This site is informational. Prospective members who are under 18 apply with a parent or guardian involved, and any information about minors is provided with that involvement.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing admin@resistanceindoor.org. We honor these requests except where we are legally required to keep certain records, such as financial records.
