Travis Turner
Assistant Director
Travis Turner lives in Northwest Arkansas and is currently employed as a 3-8 grade general music teacher and band director in Southwest Missouri. He is a master’s candidate at Kansas State University and was formerly a graduate assistant with the Kansas State Bands. In this position, he directed the concert band, wrote drill and taught the marching band and managed and facilitated many aspects of the band program as a whole. He holds a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in trombone performance from Missouri Southern State University, where he performed with the marching band, jazz orchestra, and wind ensemble.
Travis has been involved in the marching arts for over 10 years in various capacities. He continues to educate through music, band, and the marching idiom, as well as writing drill and designing shows throughout the country with his brother. Travis performed with Resistance Indoor Percussion from 2017-2019 and has been on staff since aging out of the activity. As an alumnus of Resistance, he is excited to bring his passion and experience back to the “Home Team”
