Timothy Jacobson currently resides in Ada, Oklahoma, where he serves as the Assistant Band Director and Director of Percussion for Byng Public Schools. At Byng, he is responsible for teaching all percussion students in grades 5–12 and directing the drumline.

Timothy earned his Bachelor of Music Education from East Central University in the spring of 2023. He then moved to Beaumont, Texas, to pursue a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance, which he completed in May 2025. While at Lamar University, he worked as a percussion graduate assistant, helping to instruct the percussion studio. His responsibilities included teaching the drumline and front ensemble, running electronics for the front ensemble, and assisting with percussion ensemble coaching.

Throughout his academic career, Timothy had the privilege of studying under several distinguished educators, including Andrew Hatch, Dr. Nicholaus Meyers, Dr. Francisco Perez, Professor Michael Cheng, and Dr. Reese Maultsby.
