Shane Gwaltney is a nationally respected Program Coordinator, Battery Arranger, and Visual Designer with over three decades of experience shaping the landscape of the marching arts. His 31-year tenure at Music City Mystique began as a charter member. Over the years he played a pivotal role in building the ensemble’s legacy as one of the most groundbreaking programs in the indoor percussion activity. He held many roles at McM, but Program Coordinator, Battery Arranger, and Visual Designer were the main contributions for 25 years.

He has arranged and designed for several Drum Corps ensembles, including Southwind 07', Spirit of Atlanta 08'-10', and the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps 11'-13', crafting productions known for their emotional impact, precision, and innovation.
He currently serves as the Program Coordinator and Battery Arranger for Music City Drum and Bugle Corps and continues to design and consult for competitive ensembles across the country—spanning WGI, BOA, and DCI circuits. Shane has been involved with MCDC since 2020.
