Jackson Johnson is a Tulsa-based percussionist and music educator with a passion for developing young musicians. He currently teaches percussion for grades 6–12 at Holland Hall, where he works with students across middle and upper school band programs. In addition to his current role, Jackson has taught at Bixby High School, worked with Zephyrus Drum & Bugle Corps, and instructed at various schools throughout the Oklahoma City area, bringing a broad range of experience in both the marching and concert percussion worlds.
As a performer, Jackson has been a member of Resistance Indoor Percussion (2019), the University of Oklahoma Drumline, and various concert and jazz ensembles, allowing him to build a deep understanding of the percussive arts from multiple angles.
Outside of teaching, Jackson is a composer and arranger with a growing catalog of original percussion and symphonic works. He enjoys writing music that tells stories and collaborating with fellow musicians on creative projects.
