Born in Plano, Texas, Christian Leon attended Lewisville High School, where he first recognized his love for the art of percussion. After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of Arkansas, Christian decided to continue his education at the University of Arkansas and began work on a Master in Music degree. 

During his tenure at the U of A, Christian had the opportunity to perform with many scholastic and independent ensembles, including earning the principal position for the U of A Wind Ensemble for 9 semesters. His independent ensemble experience includes The Guardians DBC, Resistance Indoor Percussion, Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, and the Artosphere Festival Orchestra.

Christian is currently the percussion specialist at Alma Public Schools in Alma, Arkansas. He resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his two cats, where he enjoys reading, cooking, and video games.
